OVERVIEW
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a retail business which puts the customer at the heart of everything they do. This business is a well-loved premium fashion brand with a loyal customer base which has bucked the retail trend over the last few years with their continued expansion and progression. They create service focussed store environments which encourage talented retailers to excel and meet their potential and are looking for an Area Manager to manage their stores and concessions within the Greater London region
THE ROLE KEY RESPONSIBILIIES
- Lead your retail teams to deliver exceptional customer service through service as well as stock presentation
- Responsible for tailoring every aspect of your stores to your customer base, anticipating their needs and offering a best in class experience and stock package
- Responsible for all profit and loss, sales forecast and budget plans across all stores. Successfully drive UK P&L performance and maximise sales opportunities, ensuring all store managers are aware of their impact on store P&Ls
- Ensure effective day to day store operations across the region by providing clear direction to and day to day management of the Store Management Teams
- Responsible for the recruitment and on-boarding of new Store Managers along with succession planning through the area
- Work closely with HR Business Partner on people management with strong focus on developing the talent within the entire retail team
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to the retail team and act as role model for future talent
- Implement ideas that drive positive results across the area in KPIs including sales and service
- Ensuring service standards in concessions are constantly being offered in line with the companys core values
- Making commercial decisions on stock packages and displays through the use of company reports to drive both individual and company sales
- Monitoring the development of the brand through networking, holding customer events and sharing the feedback with head office
- Communicating company policy and procedures to all team members in a professional manner
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Previous experience working in a retail area management role with a premium or luxury retailer is essential, along with experience in fashion, accessories, footwear or homeware
- You must have worked within a customer service focussed retail environment and experience working in partnership with a department store is also preferred
- Strong people management skills with the ability to drive performance through people
- Excellent organisation, able to prioritise workload, plan effectively and multi task as needed with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and influencing skills to store teams by holding meetings on brand and business performance
- A confident, natural and high energy retail leader who is able to manage staff performance and support individuals to deliver
- Highly numerate and able to assimilate data quickly and accurately and use the data to improve store performance
- A people person, naturally confident and have a can do attitude.
- The ability to interact with both company and host store employees in order to drive concession sales and influence visual merchandising within stores
- An experienced manager working in a service or retail environment which is focussed on service, people and delivering results
- Punctual, reliable and willing to go the extra mile for staff and customers alike, you will thrive on hitting targets and love the satisfaction of working in a service led environment
- Articulate, well presented and be able to demonstrate a strong track record of retail achievements
