Founded in 1990, with the first store opening in Croydon, Bathstore has grown over the last 20 years to become the country’s largest specialist bathroom retailer with over 160 stores across the UK.
Bathstore employs over 1,000 people across the store network; all staff are trained bathroom experts, offering a high level of product knowledge and customer service in all their dealings with the customer.
The company is now the largest showroom based bathroom specialist in the UK. Bathstore ranges are designed by some of the top designers in Europe. This relationship results in a beautiful range of bathrooms and bathroom products. By working directly with manufacturers it gives the company a competitive edge and a price promise that gives a 30 day promise on price, which is why the company are confident their prices will be the lowest.
Bathstore have opened four warehouses across the country, enabling a flexible and reliable service to their customers, as they are able to stock all products, all of the time.
Bathstore is part of the international Wolseley group, employing around 78,000 people in over 5,000 branches in 28 countries throughout Europe and North America. The Group’s strength is to operate strong national businesses in home markets, retain local brand superiority and continually exceed customer expectations.
Bathstore Head Office
Bathstore opened its new European head office in Watford in December 2006, opened by Rob Marchbank CEO Wolseley Europe.
The stunning glass fronted head office heralds the start of a major expansion programme for the company.
Delivering for the customer
Bathstore philosophy is simple. The company work with international suppliers to bring leading edge designs to customer’s bathrooms. All sanitary ware is colour matched giving customers total freedom of choice to get the look they want, as any basin can be used with any WC, bidet or bath. For an instant style decision the ‘Bathstore recommends’ suggestions are invaluable.
Bathroom useage has increased 10 fold over the last 100 years. We now spend on average two hours a day in the bathroom per household, which means it has become one of the focus rooms of the home. Bathrooms have evolved from being non-existent to functional and now stylish - which is why Bathstore has such an extensive and varied range of bathroom suites and accessories.
Retail Week Awards
Bathstore was selected as a finalist in the Speciality Retailer of the Year award at the 2007 Retail Week Awards.
Training and Development
A brand new purpose built training centre has been opened in order to support the training and development solutions offered to Bathstore team members.

Advertising and Brand promotion
The company launched it’s first-ever TV advertising campaign in August 2006. The campaign focussed in the Granada TV region was a major step forward for Bathstore as they work towards delivering a new customer promise and increasing the marketing communications with their customer base.
