In the United Kingdom, Signet trades out of 581 stores under three brand names; H.Samuel, Leslie Davis and Ernest Jones. Each brand fascia has very different values and vision alongside a very specific focus on service tailored to fit its own customer group. The total business sales account for an enormous 17% share of the UK jewellery market.

The largest high street presence is with the H.Samuel brand, with 400 stores on the UK high street and in retail “hot spots”, H.Samuel is a household name synonymous with high quality products that represent true value for money. There is a large product choice in the stores, yet the service levels are still comparable to the Signet Groups other two small store formats. H.Samuel management teams are personable, commercial and competent in running busy store environments with large teams, whilst retaining the one to one service element. The short term future plan for H.Samuel is to focus on improving the in store service offer in existing branches rather than embarking upon expansion, future stores that do open are likely to be in a larger format to offer a better customer shopping experience and a wider range of products.

Ernest Jones & Leslie Davis combined have 206 stores in the UK and is the Signet Group’s “boutique service” brand with luxury brand products and a strong watch offer also. Some of the prestige brands on offer are classic ranges like as Breitling, Cartier, Longines, Omega, Rado, Raymond Weil, Rolex and Tag Heuer combined with contemporary names like Burberry, DKNY, Emporio Armani, Gucci, Hugo Boss and a range of traditional watches including Accurist, Rotary, Seiko and Tissot. The Ernest Jones and Leslie Davis values and vision are to provide exemplary levels of service that goes hand in hand with the luxurious product offer, and as the consumer market for this type of offer increases, so is the number of stores likely to.
