As a design consultant you will be responsible for driving sales and maximising customer conversions in our showrooms. You will be a target driven consultant who has a passion for driving revenue through providing excellent customer service.  You will be given full product training to build on your existing sales skills and the opportunity to drive your personal sales through building your own customer portfolio.   

Your role as Showroom Store Manager is to support the Store Manager and Sales Consultant team to maximise sales, profit and operational effectiveness by providing excellent customer service, efficient team management and developing a skilled team around you.  As an Assistant Manager you will be accountable for the sales and profitability in your business and delivering excellent standards of service to your customers.

You will be an advocate for Homebase core values, and will be responsible for driving sales through driving service. You will be responsible for providing a full showroom demonstration service and support the Customer's design specification, making suggestions as appropriate either in store or on home visits. You will also share information with the team around sales figures and recent showroom performance and train and develop sales advisors around sales process and showroom promotions.

The role of a customer service manager is all about developing a culture within the store that ensures the customer is at the heart of everything they do. That means minimising queues by opening extra check-outs and engaging with customers to inform them about conveniences such as kiosks and stock checkers. Equally important is the management of your team to ensure they are as passionate about the customer journey as you are, acting on customer feedback and improving communication between departments is key to this as is training and developing the store teams. In this role you will have a key opportunity to turn any negative situations into positives and ensure customers leave the store wanting to come back and shop with us again. Your remit also includes ensuring a safe environment and providing cover to the management team when required. It's a great opportunity to run the shop floor and your main focus will be to bring all the elements together that ensure a great running store with the team in perfect harmony.
