SENIOR VISUAL MANAGER - DUBAI
THE ROLE
The Senior Visual Merchandiser is responsible for organising and deploying high quality visual merchandising strategies across the region. The Senior VM is also responsible for coaching, training and auditing of the local VM resources, as well as ensuring consistency of standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative co-ordination
- Clarify details of each brief in terms of: Commercial Objectives; Marketing Objectives, in coordination with: Visual Merchandising Specialist, Brand Owner or Representative, Retail Operator
- Submit a mood or concept board and costing estimate for approval
- Create concepts, designs strategies, merchandising directions and guide lines to express image and visual messages
- Organise procurement of materials and define production and installation schedules with Country Representatives and Retail Operators
Visual Merchandising
- Coordinate visual merchandising to ensure the coherence of the stores displays with brand strategy and implementation of VM policies inside the stores, through constant contact with the local VM teams
- Forward on a monthly basis to all the stores the monthly display guidelines to refresh display and make sure it is implemented.
- Submit all orders or reorder display props to Area Manager for approval
- Ensure (with the local VM teams) the visibility of the collections by rotating display in each store and choosing with store managers, local retail team and Group VM what to display
- Report and suggest on store maintenance and lighting after each visit and/or feedback received from store teams
- Issue monthly report to the Visual Merchandising Manager on all stores with photos, comments and measures of sales impact
- Make sure Group VM/ brand communication on any VM related subjects are promptly sent to the stores
- Make sure all the visual merchandising for any store opening is secured and properly implemented
- Coordinate stock availability at the time of opening with buying team and Area Manager
Management
- Co-ordinate activities of Visual Merchandisers.
- Conduct trainings for other team members
Windows Production, Coordination and Installation
- Design window concepts base upon brand directions
- Make sure schedule sent is respected
- Control the quality of the production with local teams
- Make sure budget for windows production is respected and alert if not possible
- Make sure all stores implementation is properly set up
- Control with buying team stock for each window team is sufficient before implementation and alert stores to keep minimum stock aside if received in advance
- Send picture to brand principles/ retail once performed
Events
- Upon request, must be fully involved and responsible in terms of preparation of event, set up and coordination in terms of concept definition, set up, production, coordination with local suppliers and service providers
- Respect budget provided by Area Manager and alert if issues are met
- Coordinate and validate project finalization with brand owners
- Full report and review on event (picture, comments) to be provided once event is achieved
Trainings
- Ensure all local VM teams are provided with intensive trainings and given all material to follow day to day in store VM guidelines
- Perform seasonal trainings on display strategies based on Group VM guidelines
Quality control
- Compile systematic reports and validate with V.M. Specialist
- Can be involved in the budgeting process
